Afya Zone
The Afya Zone will feature four core pillars; Nutritional Health, with live demos and a smoothie stand led by Dr. Jenny and Said the Herbalist; Beauty & Health, ofering skincare and wellness services by Inaya Zanzibar; Wellness & Spa, facilitated by Hammam Zanzibar and Yoga, with themed rooftop sunset sessions led by rotating instructors focusing on stress relief, back care, and self-meditation.
Wonder Zone
The Wonder Zone is a vibrant space where children and youth can learn, read, and express themselves through face painting and creative arts, while enjoying hands-on STEM activities that connect them and build on their curiosity. Parents will also be invited to participate in dedicated sessions, creating an open environment for sharing feelings and fostering better understanding between generations.
Asili Games
The Asili Games Zone will showcase traditional Zanzibari games such as Dominoes, Karata, Bao, Draft, and Keram in an authentic local setup featuring ground seating with Mikeka, benches, and a relaxed community vibe. Complementing the experience will be locally brewed Swahili coffee and a variety of homemade Zanzibari snack like Kashata, Visheti, and Vileja, creating a true kijiweni atmosphere.
Kwetu Kwenu Community Market
The Kwetu Kwenu Community Market Zone is a vibrant artisan space celebrating local creativity and sustainable living. It features handmade crafts, organic produce, and unique, locally sourced goods offering visitors an authentic market experience rooted in community and culture.
Permaculture Zone
The Permaculture Zone will offer a hands- on, community-driven space focused on sustainability and creative expression. Visitors can take part in interactive workshops on DIY, urban gardening, pottery, wood carving, and composting, while also exploring showcases that celebrate green living and invite all to learn, create, and connect with nature.
Food Art Street
The Food Art Street Zone is a flavorful journey through culture and creativity, where every plate tells a story. Visitors will get to explore and taste a variety of dishes from different cultures, try out new recipes, and experience the art of cooking "like traveling the world through a single, delicious shared meal."
Ideas Zone by ZanZalu
The Ideas Zone is where leading practitioners and thinkers will present on igniting prosperity and cultural ascendence of Zanzibar and its regional neighbours. Themed Swahili Futurism, the program will cover a number of eclectic topics including cultural evolution, economic development, future aesthetics, and more.
